OMG!!!my life sucks so badly. I don't have any friends and nobody likes me. I don't know what to do do do do do with my life and nobody will help me/tell me what to do because i'm not smart enough to figure it out. Nobody will call me, I think my phone is broken, maybe its not plugged in, maybe its not there, maybe its upside down, maybe no one calls because I haven't smiled enough today. Maybe I smiled too much today. OMG, I have no friends, help me, tell me what to do. Why doesn't anyone like me??? What will I do without my friends? Without friends around, who will tell me that I'm cool and that what i'm doing is right and how awesome I am? Who will be there to hold my hand so that I never have to think on my own? I hate thinking on my own. OMG call me please, maybe i'll go text someone. I think a certain someone will come by and that certain someone will make my day awesome because I need other people to do things to make myself happy. OMG I gotta go get into other peoples business.....see you later folks.

DOTA at 11 pm (OS time) on friday 8/27.

04:26 pm - jammin

Alright, the festival thing went really good. WLOX showed up at taped us so hopefully that'll come on tv or something..... The best part of the show was playing the jazz song me and joe wrote. Its the same one we played at the Grand but with small changes. Its an awesome feeling just jammin out in front of so many people and having them enjoy it. We're gonna work on writing some more, we've been trying to do one at every show but hopefully we can move that up to like 3. I really like the kind of music we play. At most shows we do a huge variety: Old time rock 'n' roll, man on the side, chariot, jazz, englishman in new york and some originals which are more funky and up beat than anything else. Even better we've finally decided to come up with a better band name, anything is better than the Brett McGlauplilhkena (sp?) Band.
School starts tomorrow so that should be fun. JD is going to be super super easy, it shouldn't take too much work to excell in the music program there. Things are starting to get hecktic though. It was crazy enough with two bands and work, but now I got 6 classes to throw in on MWF and three of them are everyday. But I love doing what i do so why stop? Delivering pizzas is way better than I thought it would be. The work is really simple and the tips are awesome. I should be able to start driving my truck in a week or two which will rock.
Dota every night until we die.

05:34 pm - alien vs. predator, who will win?

the answer is predator, and anyone who disagrees will have their asses kicked by frew.

Moving on. Things have been pretty good lately. I've gotten a lot closer with some people and gotten away from other people. Everyone is leaving soon and its kinda sad to see them go, but i'm sure i'll see them around. I finally got myself a classical guitar. I shopped around at all the local music stores to find the best one for my price range ($400) and I settled on a La Patrie Collection. I got it and a case for $550. It cost a lot more than I wanted to spend but its the best guitar La Patrie makes so its definitely worth the extra. I also got a job at Papa John's. It's a pretty good deal, I get paid to drive around and give people pizza's. With tips included the pay should be nice.
We're doing a lot more shows with Brett lately. We played at a battered womens fundraiser that went alright and we're going to be playing at some festival 97.5 is having next sunday. There's a name for it but I forgot it. The festival lasts all weekend, but we're only playing on Sunday. The sound system is supposed to be awesome and we get to play for a hour and a half so i'm pretty stoked about it. We need to start doing shows for money so that we can get some good equipment for the show at the House of Blues in September. We can only borrow equipment from the church for so long.....
Oh well, that's all I got for now. I'll see you guys later.

Everyone who can should head up to Coffee Fusion this Saturday. Me, Brett, Daniel S., Jenny and Kyle are putting on a show that would make naked asians seem insignificant. Allman Brothers, Sting, Mayer, Keb' Mo', Dave and lots of original stuff. It will be good.

Scene: Hot contestant tries to climb up onto drum platform

hot contestant:(trips on edge causing breast to fall out) "whoops, there goes my top!"
joe:(ogling breast with the rest of us) "yep, there it goes"

If that doesn't sum up how awesome the past two days have been, I don't know what will. Stuff like that happened a lot....a whole lot. I don't even think I could write out how fun this whole experience was, I'm so glad we did this and got to meet the people we did. Everyone was outstandingly cool and very giving to us.
Music wise everyone said we were awesome. We ended up doing 6 songs because they wanted us to play more. The best part of the night for me was getting to jam on this really sweet jazz song me and joe wrote for the intermission. Daniel even got into it and did some walking bass lines, everyone loved it. Being able to play through that great sound system was beyond words.
The contestants were the coolest people I've ever met. They put up with so much from us. We kept trying to get into their changing room/tried to get them to come into our room/told them they should leave their husbands for us/tried to throw a pool party with them.....the list goes on for awhile. One of them asked us to play at some party she's going to be throwing, but i'm not too sure on specifics.
We have a lot more shows, I guess gigs, coming in now just because of this one. This is going to be one crazy summer. Other than that all I can say is Danielle is awesome and definitely the best drummer ever.........for a girl.

Tonight was the Coffee Fusion thing. I asked a lot of people how they thought it went after we played and I got a general consensus that we rocked. I thought they weren't going to let us stop playing, but by 10 o'clock we had played every song me and brett can play together. Including Man on the Side, I didn't think we'd do that one because I was kind of sketchy on playing it but we did and they loved it. I find that I play a lot better when I can just sit with my guitar and be close to people who are getting into the music, its great.
Bradley was awesome and played with us on some songs, but he had to leave about half-way through it. That guy can kill on piano. What would we do without The Freedom Fries? We are indebt to you guys forever.
This whole thing was almost too much fun, but a lot more work than I thought it would be. Anyone can say they could play music for three hours to entertain people, but doing it is an entirely different story. Plus you have to count the hours and hours we spent practicing. However, free drinks and cash for playing guitar to entertain is a great way to spend a weekend. All I can really say is that I'm amazed people actually enjoyed it and we were asked to play again so I'm pretty sure Brett already booked a date. That'll mean 30 more songs to memorize (having to look at music while you play sucks) and lots more cash.
Oh well, I'm tired now and I still have a whole day tomorrow filled with band practice and service playing. The rocking will never stop.
